Services Manager

Liebherr Chile S.A. requires a Services Manager with residence in Antofagasta City.
Duties:
-Complete management of a workshop and field service team.
-Ensure the company Safety and Environment Management plan is strictly adhered to.
-Assess the occupational and health and safety hazards and risks in the workplace and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented and adhered to.
-Ensure all KPI’s are met.
-Provide leadership and support for the staff in the Workshop and Field service.
-Manage and control both long term and short term planning.
-To produce technically accurate reports to support warranty, service exchange, accident damage and or disputed claims.
-Manage Service Exchange Program.
-To prepare a detailed monthly report, outlining Safety performance, Environmental performance, Workshop Performance, Cost performance, Staff training.
-Maintain and constantly improve customer/client relations.
-Ensure the operation support equipment and tooling is maintained and damage reported and repaired in a timely manner. Liaise with the main workshop to ensure this happens.
-Participate in the continuous improvement processes by developing and implementing improvements in plant and equipment systems and acting on suggestions/proposals for improvements from all levels of the organization when appropriate.
-Monitor the performance of contracts.
-Provide client reporting and assist in solving warranty issues.
-Assist with quotations and continual opportunities for work.
Requirements:
-Tertiary qualifications in a relevant maintenance discipline.
-Experience in maintenance and repair work for excavators and/or dump trucks with 100 ton capacity.
-At least 10 years senior maintenance management exposure within the mining industry.
-Previous working experience overseas in a similar role.
-A decisive approach to leadership, management and decision making, a “Can Do” attitude.
-Previous experience in a component rebuild environment, a detailed practical knowledge of component rebuilds including cost control, quality control and contaminates control.
-Experience in failure analysis.
-Previous OEM experience would be highly regarded.
-A keen desire to continually improve operations and make changes when needed.
-Proven financial and numerical skills with the ability to evaluate operational performance.
-Prior experience working in a developing country.
-Significant experience within the mining maintenance industry in open pit, hard rock operations.
-Strong communications skills and a collaborative style.
