Financial Analyst - SSAB Santiago, Región Metropolitana

About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management of the subsidiary’s suppliers, purchasing, and fixed assets; contract and insurance policy control; and reporting to the Administration and Finance Manager. The role also involves collaboration in the preparation of financial management reports and in the monthly closing processes of the department.

Key Responsibilities
∙ Supplier Management: Responsible for the onboarding, selection, maintenance, and evaluation of suppliers. Updates information on contracts, contacts, price lists, and services provided by suppliers to each area in SAP B1. Continuously monitors purchases and contracted services, seeking to permanently develop the supplier base and identify improvements in commercial terms.
∙ Subsidiary Purchasing Process Control: Responsible for overseeing the issuance of purchase orders by each area in SAP B1, in accordance with corporate purchasing policies and related procedures.
∙ Supplier Payment Management: Coordinates with the respective areas and Treasury department to ensure timely supplier payments.
∙ Fixed Asset Control: Responsible for managing the subsidiary’s fixed assets, accounting for them in accordance with corporate policy and applicable accounting standards, and maintaining updated information in SAP B1.
∙ Support to the Administration and Finance Manager: Provides assistance on treasury, administrative matters, and management report preparation to the Administration and Finance Manager. In the absence of the Billing and Collections Officer, may be required to temporarily assume their responsibilities.

Required
∙ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Engineering, Accounting and Auditing, or a related field.
∙ Experience in supplier management, both in its accounting dimension and financial dimension.
∙ Proficiency in English.
∙ Advanced Excel skills.
∙ Solid knowledge of electronic tax document issuance and processing under local regulations.
∙ Strong understanding of IFRS.
∙ Solid expertise in supplier management and Treasury operations.
∙ Experience preparing reports and presenting to management.
∙ Knowledge of supplier evaluation and compliance processes (due diligence and screening).
∙ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
∙ Strong analytical and research skills, with high attention to detail.
∙ Strong knowledge of SAP Business One.
