We are currently seeking candidates for our Assistant Lodge Manager Position. This is a season position. This position is responsible for managing and planning guest and employee logistics to and from the properties. It also assists in the creation of the custom itineraries and post trip reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, hard working, eager and a strong multi-tasker. Candidates located in Puerto Varas are preferred but not mandatory. Seeking candidates with previous experience in tourism and with travel agencies. Position requires travel to Patagonia and vast knowledge of Puerto Varas.

This opening is a management level position requiring strong administrative skills, project management experience and ability to work productively and independently.
Start date is December 1st - April 1st.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for assisting the Rio Palena Lodge Manager in overseeing all aspects of Property Management in accordance with the Company’s mission statement, including maximization of guest satisfaction, resource advancement and staff development within established quality standards.

Responsibilities & Duties:

-Create, amend, enforce, and manage back-of-the-house inventory control, including but not limited to, bath amenities, alcohol, food, furnishings, laundry, etc.
-Ensure lodge staff is completing in a timely manner
-Assist in creating, amending and enforcing standard operating procedures and protocols
-Assist in managing, training, developing and motivating all hospitality teams including Housekeeping, Lodge Staff, and Bartenders
-Work closely with Experience Managers and Lodge Manager
-Make sure work by Lodge Staff is being completed to the highest standards
-Perform Lodge Staff duties as necessary including, but not limited to: checklists, transportation, bell services, concierge services, Retail Mini Bar, errands and grocery shopping, housekeeping and other general guest services
-Assist in following through on various projects throughout the lodge including but not limited to general maintenance, sub contractor contact lists, and lodge staff projects
-Maintain positive relationships with local vendors, sub contractors and internal departments including but not limited to Culinary, Maintenance, Sales and Marketing, Guide Operations, Retail, IT teams
-Act as Manager on Duty during property shifts
-Troubleshoot all maintenance issues and, if needed, contact the appropriate source to resolve the issue
-Maintain a vast knowledge of the IT/AV, HVAC, Crestron, Lutron, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning procedures for Rio Palena Lodge
