Técnico de Servicio (inglés excluyente)

Our client an internationally active company offers comprehensive solutions with regard to the production and refinement of flat glass and provides a comprehensive portfolio of machines, software & service. Head office for South America is in Santiago, Chile and right now they are looking for a Service Technician with a background in Electrical Engineering, to support the General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
? installation and commissioning of new equipment;
? repair, service and maintenance of equipment including electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, repair and replacement of electrical and mechanical parts, service contract visits;
? Relocation of existing machinery installations;
? performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of equipment;
? providing technical training and support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of equipment;
? serve as customer contact on technical and service related problems;
? work under limited guidance to perform complex installation, maintenance, diagnosis or repair of equipment;
? provide advice to customers on preventative maintenance and correct configurations of equipment;
? resolve electrical and mechanical problems with equipment;
? repair and replace electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic parts and equipment;
? complete all necessary paperwork and communicate effectively with Austrian Head Office and General Manager;
? travel throughout Chile and South America is a normal part of the job, with occasional travel to other continents.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Electrical degree or higher or equivalent experience
- previous machinery experience in the flat glass industry is desirable but not essential
- experience of working with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
- experience of fault-finding / troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems;
- have outstanding communication skills, written and face to face;
- a full clean driving licence
- english skills
- Availability to travel regionally or internationally when needed (mainly for training matters, but not limited to)
